This module provides nuanced perspectives of the opportunities and challenges of managing manufacturing digitalization.
The course provides an understanding of how increased digitalization can be achieved through organization and change management as well as its ability to contribute to more sustainable production through service and business development. The course also creates a basis for critical analysis of ethical, security and integrity challenges through increased digitalization of production.
The course is based on three sub-modules concerning:
- Managing digitalization in development and operations of manufacturing,
- Developing and implementing digital technology for attractive workplaces through Industry 4.0
- Business models for Industry 4.0: Digital business models, servitization and value chain implications.
The learning module is a mixture of self-study, exercises, and webinars.
To complete this module, the participant is expected to schedule approximately 4 hours per week over 5 weeks (20 hours in total).
